BARROWLAND BALLROOM GLASGOW PRESENTS OUR:

SIMPLE MINDS LIMITED EDITION 40 YEARS OF GIGS T-SHIRT

.

40 Years ago today on 20 November 1983 Glasgow was promised a musical miracle, when Simple Minds had the vision to record their kicking version of Waterfront in our disused Ballroom.

40 years later that miracle has seen the greatest bands in the world queue to play for the greatest audiences in the world.

When we asked, Jim Kerr said, ‘Glasgow Barrowland is the band’s spiritual home”.

The band then gave us their kind permission to use their lyric and name for a Simple Minds Limited Edition T.

Each T-shirt has 2 x Simple Minds Spotify “Scan to Play Codes”!

Thanks to everyone who has played, worked and bought gig tickets to the Barrowland Ballroom. You rock and here’s to the next 40 years!

Ready now for Pre Order at the link below:

  1. Barrowland will always be my favourite venue in the world, from my first gig there, Big Country on hogmanay 83 till Death Cult in Nov 23, I’ve been to so many great gigs there, some highlights being, U2 in 84, Green Day, Pixies, Blur, Oasis, Alarm, Arcade Fire, Ramones, Iggy, Beastie Boys, Rancid, Interrupters, Joe Strummer, Big Audio Dynamite, Carter USM, James, The Pogues , and some great gigs from the View, it’s got the best atmosphere of any venue I’ve visited!
