Ground-breaking, chart-topping, genre-bending, instantly enthralling… it’s little wonder that Talisk rank highly amongst the most in-demand folk-based groups to emerge from Scotland in the last decade.

Alongside extensive touring, and appearances at leading festivals across multiple continents, Talisk have stacked up major awards for their explosively energetic, artfully woven sound. Mohsen Amini, Graeme Armstrong and Benedict Morris fuse concertina, guitar and fiddle to produce an innovative, multi-layered signature that captivates audiences worldwide. At its core, three seemingly acoustic instruments – in the hands of three master craftsmen; one unmistakable, bold sound and captivating live show.

One of Scotland’s most celebrated folk singer-songwriters, Siobhan Miller returns to Celtic Connections fronting her six-piece band, in an out and out, freewheeling celebration of much-loved Scottish songs alongside her own material.

Deftly balancing a love of traditional song with modern influences, Miller’s most recent album – 2022’s joyous and cathartic, not to mention widely acclaimed, Bloom – added to the wide-ranging accolades and radio-play enjoyed throughout her career. With four BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards’ Scots Singer of the Year titles and a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award to her name, all five of Siobhan’ solo releases have been shortlisted for BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards Album of the Year.
